A FOUR Hour, Multi-Media Online Crash Course

Saturday, February 29, 2020

11:00AM – 3:00PM EST

Are you drawn to work with the tarot? Do you feel overwhelmed by all of the symbolism and memorization that seems to be required to read the cards? Do you keep putting off your study for another day? Are you worried that you may not have the kinds of intuitive gifts that seem necessary to be a good reader?

In this workshop, I present a logical approach to understanding the system of tarot as a whole, through the deconstruction and reintegration of its various parts. This process helps beginners to get out of their own way, and jump right into using this powerful tool for divination and self-understanding. As well, intermediate and more seasoned practitioners may find this approach can help them to deepen their relationship with tarot. This course is a multi-media online experience with live instruction, visual aids, digital handouts, and opportunities to have your questions answered in real-time.

In this dynamic and fast-paced course, we will cover:

  • A brief history of the cards.
  • Divination vs. fortune telling.
  • Psychism and synchronicity.
  • Developing a relationship with the cards.
  • The structure of the deck.
  • The Fool’s Journey and the Major Arcana.
  • The Minor Arcana, including the Court Cards.
  • Daily card pulls, and Three Card readings.

All you will need to participate in the course is an internet connection; you can dial in by phone if you prefer, but that will be an audio-only experience. A journal for note-taking is strongly encouraged. We will use the Ryder Smith-Waite deck for our exploration, and although it is not necessary to have your own copy to participate, it may be helpful to have it on hand if you already own a copy.

Thank you so very much for your interest in this class! I think you will be amazed at how much you will learn – and we’ll have a good time while doing it!
